Description
Kizhi literally means poultice and is also called ‘Heat Compress Therapy’. In this treatment, special medicated bundles of herbal powders, fresh leaves, or a special variety of rice are dipped in warm medicated oil and glided and tapped on the body surface to relax muscles and induce perspiration.
How does it work?
Warm bundles of herbal leaves are dipped in medicated oil and tapped on different body parts to induce perspiration and relieve pain and stiffness. It opens the pores and the herbal extracts reduce inflammation and improve circulation.
Different types of kizhi based on the ingredients:
